What's new at ExpressAgain: Summer 2026 update.

It has been a busy season. Here is an honest tour of what is live in ExpressAgain right now — what each piece does, and the family moments that pushed us to build it. As always, everything below is shipped and usable today; anything still in progress stays on the roadmap until it is real.

The Family Circle feed

The Family Circle is a private feed where invited family members share photos, audio, and video with their loved one, who can react and comment with simple taps. We built it because staying connected is communication practice in disguise — and because the person recovering should get the grandchild's soccer video the same day everyone else does, not a summary of it next weekend. Alongside the feed, family members can send private voice messages for their loved one to play anytime.

Speaking in your own voice

Tap-to-speak phrases have always spoken in clear, natural voices. Now, with a voice sample, ExpressAgain can speak in a cloned version of the person's own voice. Families tell us this one is emotional in a way we did not fully anticipate: hearing "I love you" in Mom's voice, chosen and played by Mom, is very different from hearing it in a stranger's. The cloned voice works across phrases and the sentence builder.

Therapist access: SLPs, PTs, and OTs on the team

Therapists can now be invited into a member's care with their own access. A speech-language pathologist, physical therapist, or occupational therapist can assign exercises for the person to work on between visits and keep session notes in one place. The goal is carryover — making the week between appointments part of therapy instead of a gap in it.

The care journal and the Care Team Report

The journal lets a person or their caregiver record mood and daily notes, and log blood pressure and blood sugar readings. To be clear about what this is and isn't: ExpressAgain records and organizes; it never interprets readings, scores health, or offers medical conclusions. The new printable Care Team Report compiles what you've logged into a clean summary you can hand to a doctor or nurse — so appointments start from real information instead of memory under pressure.

Lessons, now with narrated videos

Our guided lessons now include narrated videos, so learners can watch and listen instead of reading their way through. For many people with aphasia, listening comes easier than reading — and practice, as always in ExpressAgain, is never graded, scored, or timed.

Single-use invite codes

Family members join a circle using one-time, single-use invite codes. Each code works exactly once and is issued for a specific invitation, which keeps a family's private space genuinely private. It is a small feature that carries a big principle: photos, voices, and health notes belong to the family, and access should be deliberate. If a code is shared by mistake or never used, nothing is exposed — it simply expires with the invitation it belonged to, and a new one can be issued in seconds.

The quieter improvements

Around these headline features, the everyday core kept getting steadier: the phrase library, the sentence builder, the medical words dictionary, guided practice, the private vault, the emergency screen with one-tap 911, and the accessibility preferences that shape all of it — adjustable text size, high contrast, large buttons, reduced motion, read-aloud, and simple language. None of these make for dramatic announcements, but they are what people touch a hundred times a day, so they get our attention every single week.
